Reliable Accounting and Bookkeeping Support for Arizona Businesses

Business Accounting Process

Our Business Accounting Process is designed to help Arizona businesses establish organized financial records, improve reporting reliability, and maintain ongoing financial visibility.

A Structured Approach to Business Accounting

Our Business Accounting Process begins with understanding the unique accounting challenges facing each business. Some require ongoing accounting support, while others may need cleanup, stabilization, or additional financial oversight before reliable financial reporting can be achieved.

Our process is designed to evaluate accounting needs, define the appropriate scope of work, and support more reliable financial reporting through structured procedures and ongoing communication.

Why Some Businesses Require a Diagnostic Review

An initial consultation helps us understand your business operations, accounting concerns, and reporting needs. However, it does not provide enough information to determine the condition of the accounting records or accurately estimate the scope of work required.

Because business owners and administrative staff often do not have full visibility into the condition of the accounting records, accounting workflows, and reporting processes, a Diagnostic Review may be recommended before service recommendations, project timelines, or fees can be determined.

The review helps ensure that accounting recommendations, project timelines, and service fees are based on the actual condition of the accounting records rather than assumptions.

A Diagnostic Review may be recommended to:

  • Evaluate the condition of the accounting records
  • Assess reporting and reconciliation issues
  • Identify cleanup or catch-up requirements
  • Determine documentation challenges
  • Estimate project scope, timelines, and fees
  • Develop appropriate service recommendations

Technology & Access Requirements

Most accounting services are provided using QuickBooks Online. To perform accounting reviews, reconciliations, financial reporting, and cleanup work, accountant-level access to the accounting records is generally required.

Clients are responsible for maintaining active software subscriptions and providing appropriate access to accounting records and supporting documentation as needed.

Our Business Accounting Process

STEP 1. Business Consultation

We begin with a consultation to understand your accounting structure, reporting concerns, and operational needs, and to determine whether a Diagnostic Review is appropriate.

STEP 2. Accounting Diagnostic Review

A prepaid Diagnostic Review evaluates the condition of the accounting records, reconciliations, workflows, and financial reporting structure.
This review helps identify reporting inconsistencies, accounting gaps, cleanup needs, and recommended next steps.

STEP 3. Strategic Review & Recommendations

After the review is completed, we meet to discuss the findings, priorities, and whether reconstruction, cleanup, or ongoing accounting support is needed.

STEP 4. Engagement & Secure Onboarding

If we move forward, a formal engagement outlining scope, pricing, and service structure is provided. Secure onboarding and accounting system access are then coordinated.

STEP 5. Ongoing Accounting Support

Services may include cleanup and stabilization projects, reconciliations, accounting and financial reporting, ongoing business accounting services, and fractional controller and financial oversight support.

Businesses requiring ongoing support may also benefit from our Business Accounting Services.
