A Structured Approach to Personal Tax Preparation

Every taxpayer has different filing requirements, income sources, tax credits, deductions, and supporting documentation. Some tax returns are relatively straightforward, while others include business, investment, or rental property activities requiring additional tax reporting.

Our Personal Tax Process is designed to gather the information needed to prepare accurate federal and Arizona income tax returns through structured communication and organized document collection. Our Tax Process

STEP 1 — Discovery Call

Schedule a Discovery Call to briefly discuss the types of income and expenses you need to report and any special tax situations that may apply. This helps us determine whether our tax preparation services may be a good fit.

STEP 2 — Choose How to Work With Us

Choose the tax preparation option that best fits your needs. We provide remote, in-person, and local document drop-off tax preparation services.

STEP 3 — Engagement & Advance Payment

If we are a good fit, we will guide you through the engagement process based on the tax preparation option you selected. Engagement documents, payment procedures, and document collection may vary depending on the selected service option.

A signed engagement letter and applicable payment arrangements are required before tax return preparation or electronic filing.

STEP 4 — Tax Organizer & Document Collection

Complete the requested tax organizer and provide the tax documents, organized financial records (when applicable), and other information needed for tax return preparation. The tax organizer may be completed electronically through our secure client portal or in person. Documents may be submitted through our secure client portal, in person, or by local document drop-off. Assistance is available when needed.

STEP 5 — Tax Return Preparation

We review your tax information and prepare your federal and Arizona income tax returns. Additional information or supporting documentation may be requested when necessary.

STEP 6 — Final Payment & Review

Final payment is required before completed tax returns are released for review. We review your completed tax returns and answer any questions before electronic filing.

STEP 7 — Electronic Filing & Copy for Your Records

After your approval and receipt of the required electronic filing signatures and authorizations, your tax returns are electronically submitted to the applicable taxing authorities. Copies of your completed tax returns are provided through our secure client portal or during your in-person tax appointment.
